DEARBORN, Mich. -- Bob Tasca has joined reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski and one of the strongest lineups of motorsports minds online as a contributor to Autoweek’s motorsports section, www.autoweek.com/racing.
At the age of 16, Tasca started working his way up through the NHRA ranks before turning professional in 2008. This year marks his sixth at the wheel of the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Shelby Mustang Funny Car in the NHRA Mello Yello Series.
Tasca joins Keselowski, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion for Penske Racing, and John Force Racing’s John and Courtney Force and Robert Hight, who will provide columns on a rotating schedule through the end of the year.
“It’s great to share our sport with a broad motorsports audience, to keep people up-to-date on what our Motorcraft program is doing and what the NHRA Mello Yello Series has to offer,” said Tasca, who is on the verge of earning his 100th career round win in Funny Car. “Autoweek has reported on racing since it began more than 50 years ago. It’s an honor to be a part of that legacy.”
Autoweek’s motorsports page provides breaking news and inside insight from drivers and series around world, including coverage of NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula One, NHRA, ALMS and World Rally.
Tasca and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Shelby Mustang team heads to Gainesville, Fla. next week for the third of 24 races on this season’s schedule.
