2001 SVT F-150 Lightning

Pushing the performance envelope even further, SVT built more power and handling into the 2001 Lightning and gave it an aggressive new appearance to match. Its supercharged 5.4-liter Triton V-8 gained 20 more horses and combined with revised rear-axle gearing to slash the Lightning’s 0-60 mph acceleration time to just 5.8 seconds. Handling was also improved, thanks to some suspension fine-tuning and the addition of Bilstein shock absorbers. On the outside, several distinctive exterior appearance changes helped make the 2001 SVT F-150 Lightning one of the most appealing ever.
