2002 SVT Focus

Powered by a modified Ford DOHC Zetec I-4 engine, the SVT Focus version sported Variable Intake Cam Timing (VCT), a dual-stage intake (DSI) manifold, a high-flow, high-compression cylinder head, and a 4-into-2-into-1 exhaust header. The SVT Focus also featured a unique six-speed manual gearbox, sport tuned suspension, 17-inch performance wheels and tires, and a wide array of standard equipment. Based on a Focus ZX3 three-door, the SVT Focus entered the crowded sport compact market and immediately won a battery of magazine head-to-head comparison tests making it an instant favorite among the motoring media.
