2006 FORD SVT FORD GT
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 24-hour race at Le Mans when three Ford GT40 race cars made history by finishing first, second and third in 1966, SVT introduced a Tungsten Silver paint option for its Ford GT. Later in its second and final model year of production, the 2006 Ford GT also got another color choice, this time intended to commemorate Ford's racing victories in 1968 and '69.
This second limited-edition paint scheme featured a Heritage Blue with Epic Orange-striped exterior and four white roundels allowing customers to apply the number of their choice a famous livery that harkens back to the JW Automotive/American Gulf Oil-sponsored Le Mans-winning GT-40 racer.
