DEARBORN, Mich. -- Ford Racing is launching its second Tournament of Ovals, a social voting game on its Facebook page, starting on Dec. 1.
The play-in games will take place on Dec. 1, featuring David Ragan vs. Aric Almirola in the NASCAR bracket and Toomas Heikkinen vs. Mads Østberg in the rally/action sports bracket, and will run throughout the month, crowning a champion on New Year’s eve.
Fans cast over 25,000 votes last December, which featured fans and drivers alike lobbying and rallying the fan bases in search of the crown.
Thirty-four drivers were selected from four different disciplines: Stock Car Racing, Drag Racing, Road Racing and Action Sports/Rally. The two play-in games will eliminate two drivers, setting the field of 32.
