DEARBORN, Mich. --
Ford Racing has announced several social media efforts that will highlight the manufacturer’s presence at X Games 18 this week, including an official hash tag and a Facebook tab that will serve as a centralized hub for information during the week of the event.

High demand from fans and an increase of action motorsports social engagement encouraged the Ford Racing X Games Facebook tab and #FordX18 which has the most relevant content, images and video and pulls together all Ford driver, sponsor and X Games initiatives.

In addition, the competition Ford Fiestas will support the spreading of #FordX18, displaying the hash tag on their vehicles during the week’s events, including Sunday night’s finals.

Ford, who is among the presenting sponsors for X Games 18, plans to include the experience of the event on a grand scale in its coverage.

Social content, including photos and videos, will be distributed throughout the week leading up to the RallyCross X Games competition, including content from the Olsbergs MSE and Monster World Rally Team private testing sessions.

Ford drivers currently sit 1-2 atop the championship standings, led by Marcus Gronholm and followed closely by Ford Fiesta teammate, Tanner Foust. Ford Fiesta is going for the fourth RallyCross X Games gold medal, Kenny Brack taking home the first Fiesta RallyCross gold medal at X Games 15 in 2009, Tanner Foust claiming gold at X Games 16 in 2010 and Brian Deegan leading a Ford sweep of the podium at X Games 17 in 2011.
