Deegan has raced a Ford Fiesta at the X Games since 2009 and in 2010 announced a formal partnership with Ford Racing, expanding his domination of the motorsports world. Between X Games Super Rally and RallyCross, Deegan earned a pair of silver medals in 2010, claimed a gold medal in 2011 and a bronze medal in 2012. In the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, Deegan has back-to-back Pro2 championships (2011, 2012) in his Ford F-150 SVT Raptor and, in 2013, clinched the Pro Lite Unlimited championship tallying his third title in the class.

In 2011, Deegan won his first Global Rallycross race and competed in a total of four rounds that season. Deegan campaigned his first Global Rallycross Championship in 2012 achieving a podium appearance at five, of a possible six, rounds and finished runner-up in the championship. In 2013, Deegan returned for a full-season campaign in the OlsbergsMSE Ford Fiesta ST and made three podium appearances finishing fourth overall in the championship.

  • In his first campaign for the 2012 Global Rallycross Championship, Deegan finished second in the championship fight with five podium appearances in a Olsbergs MSE Ford Fiesta.
  • The Metal Mulisha team co-owner was the 2011 “Lucas Oil Off-Road Short Course Driver of the Year” and named 28th on ESPN’s list of “50 Most Influential People in Action Sports” in 2012.  
  • The freestyle motocross pioneer first turned heads in 1997 by ghost-riding his motocross bike across the LA coliseum finish line.


With a combined 15 X Games Medals, Deegan is the most decorated Freestyle Motocross rider in X Games’ history and is the only rider to compete in at least one event each year since the X Games’ inception (1995). Along the way, he has overcome three near-death experiences, broken bones, lost a kidney and severely injured his spleen while establishing himself as one of the top talents and competitors in the sport.
