#13 Andreas Bakkerud
|Car||#13 Ford Fiesta ST Supercar|
|Birthday||OCT 10, 1991|
Debuting with the Olsbergs MSE squad on the World RX this season is young talent Andreas Bakkerud, a young Norwegian who has already achieved an impressive resume of championship titles.
After starting his motorsport career racing karts in Norway, he moved to rallycross at age 15. He finished in the runner-up position in the Norwegian Championship in 2009 and then made the move to the European Rallycross Championship, earning an impressive third-place in his debut season.
He says moving to Supercars category last season was a big step and it took some time to get used to the car -- but not much time. He finished the season in fourth place and says he’s looking forward to more successes in 2014 as he moves to Ford with Olsbergs MSE for the challenge of the all-new World RX.
- Bakkerud earned Norway’s Young Driver of the Year title in 2010
- In 2011 and 2012 Bakkerud won back-to-back European Rallycross Championships in the Super 1600 category
- Last year, he scored two outright victories (at the Swedish and French rounds) -- beating veterans including Sebastian Loeb, Tanner Foust and Norwegian countryman Petter Solberg.

In the off-season, he keeps up behind the wheel of a different kind of machine, driving a snowplow in blustery Bergen, Norway -- experience he says helps him to master the loose-surface sections of rallycross courses.
