After locking up a record seventh GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series Championship in 2013, veteran road racer Scott Pruett will sit behind the wheel of the No. 01 Telcel/TELMEX Ford Riley for his 11th season of sports car racing for Telcel/TELMEX Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates in 2014 as part of the new IMSA-sanctioned TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.

The Sacramento, Calif., native continues his assault on the sports car record books this season with returning co-driver Memo Rojas from Mexico City. Pruett ended the GRAND-AM era in 2013 as the most successful Daytona Prototype pilot ever - holding career records for most Driver’s Championships (five), most wins (41), most pole positions (32) and most podiums (86). He and Rojas hold the distinction of being the most successful driver pairing in series history.

The seven-time GRAND-AM Champion (2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), record five-time Rolex 24 At Daytona Winner (1994, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2013) and record holder for GRAND-AM wins in a single season (nine in 2010) never finished outside of the top-two in the GRAND-AM season championship. His GRAND-AM experience is just the latest in a career filled with countless titles and trips to victory lane.

Pruett’s racing resume boasts nearly every major racing series including NASCAR, CART, IMSA GTO/GTU/GTP, SCCA Trans Am and IROC, where he accumulated 12 major championships over the seasons. From his first title in 1981 at the World Karting Championship to his latest GRAND-AM Sports Car Series Championship, Pruett is still a force to be reckoned with in the world of racing.

The 53-year-old Pruett is showing no signs of slowing down, and again remains one of the men to beat as the 2014 racing season opens up. The former Indianapolis 500 Co-Rookie of the Year (1989) and Olympic Torchbearer (2002) has authored four children’s books with his wife Judy. He owns and runs his own winery called Pruett Vineyard in Auburn, Calif., where he resides with his wife and three children.
